Applicants must possess a relevant Bachelor's degree , as previously defined, and a Master's degree from the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) or any other accredited institution of higher learning. Alternatively, they can present any other certificate that is officially recognized as equivalent to both a Bachelor's and Master's degree. Crucially, all Ph.D. Applicants are required to submit a suitable research proposal as part of their application. |

For all Arts-based programs taught in English, applicants need an overall IELTS score of 6.0, a TOEFL score of 79 (iBT), 213 (CBT), or 550 (PBT), an EPT score of 6.0, or a MUET score of 4.5. Science and Technology-based programs in English require a lower IELTS score of 5.0, TOEFL scores of 60 (iBT), 173 (CBT), or 500 (PBT), an EPT score of 5.0, or a MUET score of 3.5. |
