Entry Requirements | A relevant Bachelor’s Degree (honours) with good grades from the IIUM or any other accredited Institution of higher learning; Note: Preference will be given to applicants having a Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum CGPA 2.75 or its equivalent. Or Any other certificate that is recognized as equivalent to a Bachelor’s Degree (honours) or other relevant professional qualifications and experience that are recognized by the Senate of the University. And A suitable research proposal is required for Master applicants. |
English Requirement | Arts-based Programs with English as the Medium of Instruction: For all arts-based programs with English as the medium of instruction, applicants must have an overall IELTS score of 6.0, a TOEFL score of 79 (iBT), 213 (CBT), or 550 (PBT), an overall EPT score of 6.0, and a MUET score of 4.5. Science and Technology-based Programs with English as the Medium of Instruction: For all science and technology-based programs with English as the medium of instruction, applicants must have an overall IELTS score of 5.0, a TOEFL score of 60 (iBT), 173 (CBT), or 500 (PBT), an overall EPT score of 5.0, and a MUET score of 3.5. All Programs with Arabic as the Medium of Instruction: For all programs with Arabic as the medium of instruction, applicants must have a TOEFL score of 30 (iBT), 113 (CBT), or 425 (PBT), an overall EPT score of 3.0, and a MUET score of 2.5. All Programs with English as the Medium of Instruction (Thesis/Dissertation Written in Arabic): For all programs with English as the medium of instruction where the thesis/dissertation is written in Arabic, applicants must have a TOEFL score of 30 (iBT), 113 (CBT), or 425 (PBT), an overall EPT score of 5.0, and a MUET score of 2.5. Approval must be obtained from the Senate - Committee for Writing Thesis in Arabic Language, EXCEPT programs of Islamic Revealed Knowledge and Heritage.
