| Entry Requirements | A master’s degree in the field or related fields from Universiti Utara Malaysia or any other institutions of higher learning recognised by the University Senate. For a master degree with CGPA, the minimum CGPA is 3.00; or A bachelor’s degree in the field or related fields with CGPA of at least 3.67/First Class or equivalent from Universiti Utara Malaysia or any other institutions of higher learning recognised by the University Senate and pass the interview conducted by the Postgraduate Committee; or Candidates without a qualification in the related field or work experience in the relevant fields must undergo appropriate prerequisite courses determined by the programme and meet the minimum CGPA based on (a) to (b); or Any other equivalent qualifications recognised by the University Senate; A master’s degree (by research) candidates may apply to convert to the Doctor of Philosophy programme subjected to the following conditions and to the Senate approval: I. holds a bachelor’s degree in the field or related fields with a minimum CGPA of 3.00 to 3.66 and published at least one (1) indexed journal article in Web of Science/SCOPUS. II.must obtain a strong recommendation from the supervisor. III.the application is to be submitted in the second trimester of studies or within 12 months for full time candidate and within 24 months for part time candidate from the registration date of the study programme. Other requirement for Ph.D .: The applicants should attachamotivational letter and research proposal. The applicants must propose supervisors’ name who have already agreed with the research topic For those who are shortlistedwill be called for an interview |
