Medium of Instruction: Candidates whose academic qualification was obtained from an institution where English was the medium of instruction. A letter from the university verifying this must be provided. Field of Study (Malay Language): Candidates pursuing a field of study in Malay or a field where Malay is the medium of instruction. Cognate Countries (Specific): Candidates from cognate countries (Indonesia, Singapore, Brunei, and South Thailand). However, if the candidate intends to write their thesis in English, they must still meet the standard English language requirements. Malaysian Local University Graduates: Candidates who obtained their academic qualification from a Malaysian local university. Specific Programmes (Arabic Language Focus): Candidates applying for the following programmes: Master of Art / Doctor of Philosophy in Arabic Language Master of Art / Doctor of Philosophy in Syariah Master of Art / Doctor of Philosophy in Usuluddin Master of Education / Doctor of Philosophy in Islamic Education AND will write their thesis in Arabic Language, subject to fulfilling one of the following graduation requirements: Submitting a minimum IELTS band score of 3.0 or equivalent before graduation. |
