| Description | This courses covers a broad spectrum of topics, starting with fundamental electronics in both analogue and digital domains, progressing to advanced electronics including AC circuit analysis and instrumentation. Students will also explore thermodynamics with experimental components, delve into computer programming and interfacing with hardware, and examine energy physics and its technological applications. A research project introduces students to physics education research methodologies, while electromagnetism, vibrations, waves, and optics explore core principles of classical physics. Furthermore, the curriculum includes a calculus-based introduction to mechanics, an overview of modern physics encompassing relativity and quantum mechanics, an exploration of solid-state physics and its properties, mathematical physics providing essential mathematical tools, thermal and statistical physics linking microscopic properties to macroscopic behavior, and a deeper dive into quantum mechanics. Finally, specialized topics in physics and astronomy expose students to current advancements and the cosmos, all underpinned by an introductory course in calculus. |
