Description | The Manufacturing Engineering Department (MED) offers 2 Bachelor with Honours programs for prospective students: Bachelor of Manufacturing Engineering and Bachelor of Industrial Engineering. These programs have been accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Committee, which ensures that the graduates are acknowledged to work in any sector in Malaysia as well as abroad. Both programs are a 4-year program that equip students with knowledge to design, optimize, and manage manufacturing processes and systems. The courses explore the fundamental knowledge of engineering as well as the sciences of material and manufacturing processes. With the IR4.0 revolution, the importance of automation dan digitalization of manufacturing activities are also taught and experience by the students. Overall, a Manufacturing Engineering degree equips students with a mix of theoretical knowledge and practical skills, preparing them to address complex challenges in the manufacturing sector. |

Entry Requirements | A recognized Bachelor's Degree in Engineering/Engineering Technology with minimum CGPA of 2.75 or its equivalent, A candidate who has a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering/Engineering Technology, not meeting CGPA of 2.75 but above 2.50 or its equivalent, may be accepted subject to rigorous internal assessment. A candidate who has a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering/Engineering Technology, with CGPA less than 2.50, and a minimum of five (5) years working experience in relevant field can be accepted and subject to rigorous internal assessment. A Bachelor's Degree in Science or Technology (Not related to Engineering/Engineering Technology) must undergo appropriate prerequisite courses determined by UTeM and meet the minimum CGPA based on (i) to (lii). |
English Requirement | Malaysian University English Test (MUET): Achieve a minimum of Band 2.0 for examinations commencing Semester 1, 2021, or Achieve a minimum of Band 2 for examinations up to the year 2020, with the result being valid at the time of application. [For GCE A-Level and International Baccalaureate Diploma students only]: Achieve a minimum score of 500 in the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) AND Achieve a minimum band score of 5.5 in the International English Language Testing System (IELTS). |
